Our Hover wing foil carbon Ultra boards are now available in a limited edition with Naish's iconic skull logo. Without compromising on performance, the Hover wing foil LE is the ultimate addition to your quiver. This new range of boards is perfect for wing-surfing, but also as sup- foil- board, sup-Downwind- foil- board or Prone- foil- surf. Changes include an overall curvier outline, a slightly narrower tail, a stronger nose rocker , and more pronounced bottom shaping and concave. Multiple footstrap positions, including wider stance options, give riders the option of choosing between a windsurfing style, a double frontstrap setup or a single surf style setup. The rocker is perfectly balanced so that the board flies smoothly parallel to the water surface. The track boxes have been moved further back to better match the many different foils riders can combine with the boards. The raised tail kick behind the foil boxes combined with the bevelled rail ensures easy launches and ample room in turns. The carbon-Ultra layup, which now includes additional rail-Cap reinforcements and Kevlar patches in high-wear areas, gives these boards a lightweight advantage that minimises swing weight and improves overall performance.
board-SELECTION
- The board selector below is a rough guide to determine the size of Hover wing foil board based on the rider's weight and skill level. We consider a "beginner" to be a rider who has no previous board experience.
- Remember that additional factors such as wind conditions, foil and wing-surfer size will play an important role in choosing the right board size.
- In general, we recommend choosing a more buoyant board with a volume that matches the weight of the rider (e.g. an 80-pound rider will need at least an 80-litre board or larger). Riding with a "sinker" works well in places with constant, strong wind, while buoyant boards prove to be a safer choice as they allow the rider to return to shore even if the wind drops below a foilable limit.
Features:
- All models have a smaller nose- and tail width compared to the S25 shape. This is more pronounced in the smaller sizes up to 95 and only slightly visible in the sizes above 95. The result is a lower swing weight, which has a positive effect on use with the wing surfer, especially in windier conditions.
- The positioning of the profile rail has been moved closer to the tail for all sizes. This adjustment is more pronounced in the smaller sizes than in the larger sizes.
- The tail kick has been moved further back to align with the foil track boxes, lengthening the waterline for earlier take-off. The double concave nose shape has been accentuated to soften re-entry when taking off from foil.
