 The Carve is a powerful, reactive and controllable kite, ideal for carving in the wave, dipping into a barrel or boosting strapless tricks. The Carve is designed with a stable, lower aspect ratio design for fast pivot turns and excellent drifts, and has an extremely direct feel with bar pressure and steering input. For 2023, we've put the Carve back in its wave riding category. Refined bridling for a longer, more progressive travel means the kite feels smoother and more responsive across the depower range. It's still reactive when you sheer out - all the way to the end. The improved overall balance also improves drift, so the kite glides down the line as you surf, waiting for your bar input. More intuitive control - especially when the kite is not visible on a big bottom turn, cut back or in a barrel - means you can focus 100% on surfing. The Carve has a slightly reduced leading edge diameter and thinner profile. This gives the kite a smoother power delivery, improves high-end wind range and helps you ride deeper in the pocket for longer. The kite doesn't pull you off the rail as aggressively and you land softer on big jumps. The 2023 Carve is also quicker to relaunch in critical situations. We have introduced lighter bladders in all sizes and a lighter 2-layer canopy reinforcement. This reduces weight and helps improve turning speed in light wind while maintaining the Carve's surf-worthy durability. The Carve now flies faster, generating more power and board speed. It shoots into the wind. Experienced riders will benefit from the kite's impressive power and efficiency, while intermediate riders will find a smoother, more user-friendly ride. Freeride- and strapless freestylers will love the improved hangtime and catch for kiteloops and softer landings.
